Reflexology Brings Healing to the Body and Soothes the Mind and Soul

Epiphany Pilates is so thrilled to announce the addition of reflexology services at the studio. Reflexology is a therapeutic natural healing technique that dates back 4,000 years ago to China and Egypt. Modern foot reflexology is the practice of using the hands and fingers to apply precise pressure on specific reflex points that are believed to correspond to the organs, glands and other structures in the body. With the application of pressure to these points, the nervous system is accessed, opening channels for circulation of energy. Through reflexology, stress on the nervous system can be eased, creating faster, more reliable, and effective neural function.

Reflexology brings balance to the body and can be used to:

  • Reduce stress and induce deep relaxation
  • Improve insomnia
  • Enhance circulation
  • Eliminate toxins
  • Revitalize and energize
  • Minimize the discomfort associated with plantar fasciitis

Reflexology treatments are now offered at Epiphany Pilates by our new team member and certified reflexologist, Nicole Saadvandi. Nicole completed her certification in reflexology in 2016 with Rixie Dennison, RYT-500, CR of Mandala Healing Arts in Falls Church, VA. She found reflexology while on her own journey in healing from a chronic inflammatory disease and feels that reflexology has been crucial in her recovery.  Nicole believes her treatments have been vital for detoxification and profoundly supportive in relieving stress.  She became certified in the hopes of sharing with others this valuable art of healing for mind, body and spirit.

Be sure to stop by for a special Meet and Greet with Nicole between 2pm and 8pm on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, to enjoy a few minutes in her chair and experience her healing hands. Best of all, in honor of Mother’s Day, enjoy $10 off all reflexology sessions during the month of May.
